WHEN and WHERE:

Meet at Bluffton House at 0900; location: 3262 Watergate Rd, Clinton, AR 72031 (35.652746, -92.527426). Physical address and coordinates are correctly located in Google Maps/Earth) The Bluffton House is down a driveway across from the Double-Drop Falls Trailhead at Bluffton Nature Preserve. You can also use the map link at the end of this post.

If you would like to carpool/caravan, call or text Robert Fuhler by Monday evening to coordinate at 501.733.4019. We will be leaving Robert's house at 0800 - 29 Ridgeview Drive, Conway, AR 72032 (correctly located in Google Maps/Earth).

OBJECTIVES AND DETAILS:

After meeting with Caleb Pierce (TNC), we will disperse for general maintenance on various trails. Work will include re-establishing routes, trail clearing (specifically where leaves have collected on trails close to the bluff lines), assessment of trail conditions and, if needed, repair of various wash-outs.

We will also check/discuss the Chinquapins, the native pollinator planting location (planting occurs January 03) and the weather station.

WHAT TO BRING:

Preferably boots with ankle support
Gloves
Water
Snacks
Clothing appropriate for the weather

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Keep in mind that the georeferenced map of Bluffton is available for download on the Nature Conservancy site (https://www.nature.org/content/dam/tnc/nature/en/graphics/maps/AR-Bluffton-Preserve-Map.pdf) and can be used on a smart device with the Avenza map app. The georeferenced map combined with the app will allow you to see your location while on the trail using the GPS on your phone (you will need to download the Avenza app). The trail is also on Alltrails.
