THIS EMAIL IS FROM PAUL GOSNELL
Even the best laid plans sometimes get rained out, which is what happened Monday 9/22 to the scheduled maintenance work on the Central Arkansas Water trails around Lake Maumelle. So, we are rescheduling to Monday, October 6, 9:00a-1:00p. Details from previous email (below) still apply. Contact gosnellpaul@aol.com to sign up or if you have questions.
A friendly reminder that volunteers are still needed for trail maintenance on Central Arkansas Water’s trails at Lake Maumelle. The date that has been rescheduled due to rain is now Monday, October 6, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Volunteers, along with CAW personnel, will clear overgrown vegetation from the summit of Bufflehead Bay Trail and the entrance to Bringle Creek Trail, approximately 300 to 400 ft of trail total.
Volunteers are requested to gather at the parking lot for Bufflehead Bay Trail on Hwy 10 W.
CAW will provide all power-operated equipment; CAMN will provide manual equipment such as loppers and mattocks.
If you have your own personal equipment you prefer to use, bring it along.
Also wear appropriate clothing and footwear, bring safety goggles/eye protection, and bring your own water and snacks.
Persons planning to attend should contact Paul Gosnell, gosnellpaul@aol.com
Thanks!
PS: this could be a great opportunity for our local high school kids needing to get volunteer hours if someone has that connection. |
