The AR State Butterfly is designated as a moderate to high risk of extinction in Arkansas. The Diana Project is a 3 year plan utilizing conservation education and citizen science. The resulting geographically tagged crowd-sourced sightings data from within the state of Arkansas will be shared with Arkansas Monarch and Pollinator Conservation Partnership Steering Committee to further research and conservation efforts for all pollinators. This involves general volunteering at presentations, Environmental Education curriculum development, JR Master Naturalist program development, scientific and marketing research, event planning, reading to children at events, assistance and/or teaching citizen science classes (iNat and SEEK).
