Our next Zoom NiT class is BOTANY, this Saturday, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., with Theo Witsell from ANHC. Theo is Chief of Research and Inventory for ANHC; before that he was ANHC's senior botanist/ecologist. You are in for a treat with his upcoming presentation; classes/presentations led by people who are passionate about what they do are always worth your time. In "normal" times, Theo would have 3 hours of powerpoint background on the particular botany and ecology of AR, and then we would go for guided /exploratory hike through a rare nepheline syenite glade near Audubon AR. We hope to be able to do the hike part a bit later, because there's really no good substitute for actually BEING outside, but we're grateful to Theo for agreeing to Zoom this portion Saturday morning.
