iNaturalist is one of the world's most popular nature apps. The app helps you identify the plants and animals around you and connects you with a community of over 400,000 scientists and naturalists who can help you learn more. By recording and sharing your observations, you'll create research quality data for the science community to use. iNaturalist is a joint initiative by the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society.
Several of the courses at the upcoming BioBlast will use INaturalist to record the findings on exploratory hikes/walks. You'll want to be educated beforehand to make the most of your experience.
Please download the app before coming to this meeting. If you have experience using the app, you can share your tips. Our meeting will be led by Patrick Solomon, CAMN member and Habitat coordinator at ANHC.
