March 8th – Exploring and Seeing Waterfalls – Rated Moderately Strenuous Hike Due to Distance
Start Time – 10:00 a.m. at Push Mountain Fire Tower
We will hike in from the Fire Tower 3 miles on a nice forest service gated road. Then three tenths mile bushwhack down to Woodsman pouroff. After exploration of the upper and lower areas of this beautiful feature, we will back track up to the road. About .7 mile back we will bushwhack down to Helen’s pouroff for pictures and lunch. Then explore further down the bluff line for some incredible views of the heart of the Wilderness. We will return on the road for a pleasant 2.3 mile stroll back to the parking area.
Bring water, snacks and lunch.

You can meet at Mountain Home Library at 9:00 a.m. and follow Debbie and Mike Rees to Fire Tower
You can meet at the Matney Trailhead at 9:15 a.m. and follow Gordon King to Fire Tower (Matney Trail Head is the 1st Trail Head on the right (1 Mile), after you cross over White River Bridge on Push Mountain Road (Hwy 341)
Or you can meet at the Push Mountain Fire Tower at 10:00 a.m. Fire Tower is 18 miles south of Shedd Bridge or 6.9 miles north of 14 if you are coming from the south.
