CAMN General Meeting - Forest Health: Past, Present, and Future

Chandler Barton is the state's Forest Health Specialist with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture Forestry Division. Part of his job is conducting aerial surveys and investigating unusual occurrences of forest insects and diseases across the state. He's also a new dad as well and claims that his biggest challenge these days is figuring out how to raise a baby 😊

Arkansas’s forest health condition can be assessed by considering several indicators. Generally, our forests are healthy, but occasionally landscape scale disturbances negatively affect growth. Insects and diseases are only a piece of the puzzle, abiotic issues such as anticipated climatic change has the potential to incite bigger forest health issues.

We are still meeting via Zoom. Record time as 1.5 hours CE, sponsor CAMN.
