National Public Lands Day is the largest volunteer event in the nation and this year Little Rock Parks and Recreation along with Audubon Delta, Friends of Fourche Creek and Central Arkansas Master Naturalists are celebrating it at Benny Craig Park. A special "Thank you" to Rock Town River Outfitters for providing lunch.
We will be pulling litter out of Fourche Creek, raising the canopy along the bank, weed eating and picking up litter.
We will have snacks, lunch and free flowing water.
What to bring:
2) Water Bottle
3) Tools if you have them. We have some but if you have your own please bring them. No electricity is available.
4) Kayak/Canoe/Flat bottom boat; We have some but if you have your own, please bring it.
Record time accordingly:
If you are in a boat and removing litter from a trash boom or Fourche Creek, record your time as Stream Team.
If you are on shore and removing litter, record your time as Litter Pick Up.
If you are removing weeds or raising the canopy, record your time as Natural Area Maintenance.
