Welcome to DLAMN Monarch Mania for 2024. Although the migration has been iffy this fall, we are prepared to release Monarch butterflies Saturday, Oct. 5,2024. The event will begin at 10 a.m with monarch tagging, information/registration tables, stickers and tattoos for the kids, art activities, and a photo booth. This year, we will meet at the HS Greenway Trail Pollinator Garden at the corner of Valley and Runyan Streets. (previous releases met at Farmer's Market, this year, the table for interested registrants will be located at the Pollinator Garden).
The release program will begin at 10:30. If you can attend, please sign up, (members receive volunteer time for this event). We are asking volunteers to come between 9-10 a.m to help set up the event. Parking is available on Valley Street. This community-wide event is weather dependent, the forecast as of now calls for sunny skies and perfect temperatures.
