Sugar Loaf Mountain Nature Trail is a 2.5 moderately trafficked loop trail located near Higden, Arkansas that features Greers Ferry Lake. Kayaking is about 30 minutes – 1 mile across to the island which has the trail. <br /><br />Meet at Mountain Home HARP&#39;S (By the Bypass) – leave at 8:00 a.m. <br /><br />Drive time 2 hours – should be a beautiful fall drive and spectacular views on the hike. <br /><br />Directions: Hwy. 5 South to Hwy. 25 West to Drasco – at Drasco turn right (west) on Hwy. 92 to Sugar Loaf Marina<br /><br />We will put the kayaks/canoe in at Sugarloaf Marina and kayak over to Sugar Loaf Mountain Nature Trail. Trail is a 2.5 mile – rated moderate. <br />Bring snack, lunch, water – this will be along day so bring plenty of snacks! <br /><br />Don’t forget your kayak/canoe, life jacket, hiking boots, walking sticks. <br /><br />If cancelled due to weather conditions, an e:mail will be sent out by 6:00 a.m. the morning of hike.
