Astronomy Night with Sugar Creek Astronomical Society: We will begin with an indoor program in the Discovery Classroom about the five brightest planets in our solar system and when they can be seen. Weather permitting, the outdoor viewing will begin about 8:30 p.m. when we will be observing the Andromeda galaxy, Saturn, and other celestial bodies. A two-day old crescent moon will be setting shortly after sunset making it easier to see faint objects
and star clusters. Items you may wish to bring include a flashlight covered with a red cloth (or red balloon) and a folding chair. If you have binoculars or a star chart, feel free to bring them.
Club members will bring telescopes to share with the public. Recommended for ages 8+.
