Meet at the parking lot of the Camp Robinson Special Use Area (CRSUA): 34.992258, -92.358964 (copy and paste coordinates into Google Maps/Earth).
Type of Project:
Native seed collection for various projects this fall. As is the case for this time of year, numerous species will be collected, including Rosinweed, Prairie Blazing Star, Narrow Leaved Mountain Mint and Naked Stem Sunflower.
General Directions:
Take Exit 135 off I-40 in Mayflower, go east on Hwy 89 (towards Lake Conway) for approximately 4.5 miles to Clinton Road (on left); go down Clinton Road for approx 2.6 miles; go left on Nursery Pond Road; parking area will be 180 feet on the right (across from the AGFC maintenance offices).
What to Bring/Wear:
* Appropriate Clothing for weather with boots
* Insect Spray
* Water
* Collection vessel and plant clippers
Carpool/caravan is available. Meet at Robert's house no later than 2:15; please contact Robert the previous evening to coordinate.
