Details:

This outing will be a visit to the Vogelpohl Property southeast of Paris, AR. Sid Vogelpohl is a long-time member of the Arkansas Native Plant Society (ANPS), author of the “Know Your Natives” articles and host for FAMN outings to his "Know Your Natives" Garden and trail system.

We will be working on trail maintenance and brush removal. Please wear good walking/hiking shoes, gloves (preferably leather), bring water and dress for the weather.


Where?

Park at Sid Vogelpohl’s Valley (GPS Coordinates - copy & paste into Google Earth: 35.271,-93.6936)

Directions from Conway are as follows:

Take I-40 west from Conway to Exit 88 at Pottsville, turn left onto Hwy363/247 to North Dardanelle; take a left onto Hwy 27 (will cross Arkansas River); turn right on Hwy 22 to Subiaco; left on South Subiaco Avenue (which will transition into Greasy Valley Road).

Greasy Valley Road will terminate at Hwy 309; cross the highway onto Johnson Road and continue for approximately 0.7 mile. Turn right at an open steel gate and park where the other vehicles will be located. (GPS Coordinates - copy & paste into Google Earth/maps: 35.271,-93.6936).


Carpool/caravan:

Carpool/caravan is available and recommended. Meet at Robert's house (29 Ridgeview Drive, Conway - correctly located in Google Earth/Maps) no later than 0830; please contact Robert the previous evening to coordinate.
