first Trail Patrol of the season, Blanchard Springs Jack's Branch spur trail 1.5 miles. Moderate challenge, half mile up hill. Optional lunch at Anglers Cafe by Allison Bridge. Directions. GPS 35.97132 -92.17236. 51 miles/70 minutes from Mountain Home. From Sheid Bypass, drive 40 miles to Allison, turn right Highway 14, drive 6½ miles up to Blanchard Springs entrance, drive 2½ miles down to campground, pass the pavilion, do not turn right to swimming area drive straight across low water bridge to remote camping area, see trailhead on right next to County Road 52.
