About this event
Rim Shoals riverside trail, remove invasive plants. Lunch & drinking water provided by Trout Unlimited. Register by November 13 so partner can furnish lunch. Trailhead in Gassville, follow Rim Shoals Road over the railroad to the river, turn left at Rim Shoals Resort drive 1/4 mile to end of road trailhead. Master Naturalists will remove invasive plant species from this lovely riverside trail where native plants are being crowded out by privet and honeysuckle (bush and vining) while TU does their routine maintenance on this trail.
Rim Shoals Trail is a .75 mile single track trail including walk-in access to anglers on the White River. The riverside trail includes a lovely collection of native plants & wildlife along with gorgeous river views. NCAMN members will focus on removing privet which is evergreen and easily identified. We'll use both hand pulling for smaller plants and cut & dab for larger ones. Bring your favorite weeding tool, pruners or loppers & gloves.
Log your time as Invasive Species Removal - NCAMN with AGFC - NCAMN as the sponsor.
