This class is a ZOOM webinar presented by the Arkansas Native Plant Society. It is titled: MADCap: An Overview of Opposite-Leaved Woody Plants of Arkansas. It will be presented by Dr. Richard Abbot, who is an Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Dr. Abbott is also curator of the University herbarium.
Dr. Abbott will cover the woody dicots that have opposite leaves. From maples and ashes to dogwoods, buckeyes, and honeysuckles, you will learn all about this subset of woody species, and even a few others that might surprise you, like buttonbush, bladdernuts, and hydrangeas.
