About this event
Sunday 9/22 2-4pm Meet at the parking lot of the Camp Robinson Special Use Area (CRSUA): 34.992258, -92.358964 (copy and paste coordinates into Google Maps/Earth).
Type of Project: Seed collection
Multiple species will be collected as available. Potentially Hairy Golden Aster (Bradburia pilosa), Rattle Snake Master and Blunt Leaf Mountain Mint are a few.
General Directions:
Option 1: Head East on Dave Ward Dr (AR-286) (past Sam’s) 9.5 miles (12 minutes) to Nursery Pond Rd. Turn right onto Nursery Pond Rd (at the pollinator field) Parking area will be 180 feet on the right (across from the AGFC maintenance offices).
Option 2: Take Exit 135 off I-40 in Mayflower, go east on Hwy 89 (towards Lake Conway) for approximately 4.5 miles to Clinton Road (on left); go down Clinton Road for approx 2.6 miles; go left on Nursery Pond Road; parking area will be 180 feet on the right (across from the AGFC maintenance offices).
What to Bring/Wear:
* Appropriate Clothing for weather and environment (long pants, hat, etc.) preferably with boots.
* Insect Spray with DEET
* Water
* One more time: Insect Spray with DEET - Chiggers and Ticks are definitely out.
