Native Seed collection (followed by LUNCH back in Conway at O'Malley's for any who are interested)

Species we are going after are Big Bluestem, Little Bluestem, Mississippi Valley Grassleaf Goldenrod, Old Field Goldenrod and any other species we deem worthy.

Meet at the parking lot of the CAMP ROBINSON SPECIAL USE AREA (CRSUA): 34.992258, -92.358964 (copy and paste coordinates into Google Maps/Earth).

LUNCH: After we finish collecting, some are planning for Fish and Chips at O’Malley’s Irish Grill at 803 Harkrider St. (at Main St. and Harkrider)

General Directions:
Option 1: Head East on Dave Ward Dr (AR-286) (past Sam’s) 9.5 miles (12 minutes) to Nursery Pond Rd. Turn right onto Nursery Pond Rd (at the pollinator field) Parking area will be 180 feet on the right (across from the AGFC maintenance offices).

Option 2: Take Exit 135 off I-40 in Mayflower, go east on Hwy 89 (towards Lake Conway) for approximately 4.5 miles to Clinton Road (on left); go down Clinton Road for approx 2.6 miles; go left on Nursery Pond Road; parking area will be 180 feet on the right (across from the AGFC maintenance offices).


What to Bring/Wear:

* Appropriate Clothing for weather and environment
* ?? Insect Spray with DEET – might not be needed
* Water, seed collection bag or bucket
* Pants and shoes for seed collection in the fields
