About this event
UCA Fish and Wildlife club is hosting an event on Cadron Creek (15 minutes North of Conway from the Salem Rd (Hwy 25) and Hwy 40 intersection) from 11am-2pm. All are Welcome!
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The plan is to have three stations. One is an electrofishing station in the riffle complex, two is a seining in the pool, and the third is an ID station where we would show y'all all the species we caught and tell you about their biology. The water is warm enough to wet wade, but we will bring waders so no one gets electrocuted while shocking.
The club focuses on research related to aquatic ecology, specifically non-game fish ecology. They will be leading instruction about how they conduct aquatic research and the rich natural aquatic history of Arkansas.
The event will include large mesh seines for fish sampling, some macroinvertebrate kick nets, and possibly a backpack electrofisher. This group is happy to talk about anything stream related (including fish ecology, freshwater mussels, aquatic macroinvertebrates and research projects going on in the UCA lab).

This event is weather dependent and will be updated here if weather causes it to be cancelled.
Wear appropriate clothing for the temperatures that day as well as footwear suitable for wading or simply streamside wear, if wading is not your preference
