AR Reads Aldo Leopold / FAMN Book Club
About this event
It's Aldo Leopold Week! To celebrate the pioneering conservation ideas of Aldo Leopold, such as the concept of the land ethic, FAMN and the Arkansas Audubon Society will host a public reading of sections of A Sand County Almanac at the Faulkner County Library. Tell your friends - we'll have 50 books courtesy of the Aldo Leopold Foundation to give to the public. Come listen and be inspired!
Want to be involved? Contact Mary Conner. Readers will be asked to read a 4-8 minute section aloud. You can choose a favorite passage, or ask Mary to assign one to you. Do you have a favorite inspiring passage from another environmentalist author, like Robin Wall Kimmerer? We can include a few of those too - just ask! Please also pay attention to the later start time. Don't want to read? That's okay; come be a supportive audience member! Attendance will count toward AMN education hours.
