Arkansas Master Naturalists

Boom Blast is this Saturday, June 14, from  9:00 am - 12:00 pm.  Bring your watercraft if you can.  CAMN's canoe fleet will also be on site.  The upstream boom is full again in just one month.  We opened it up at the end of the last Boom Blast, and I hooked it back up the following Monday.  Ugh!  Photos below.  

Also, we need some shoreline beautification work done.  We need weed whackers and brush cutters, limb loppers, pole saws, chain saws, too, to remove vegetation and open up the shoreline on both sides of the boat ramp so folks can see the creek.  Same with Interstate Park's boat ramp area, except for pole saws and limb loppers.  

I'll need someone to take the lead on the riparian work; I'll be in the jonboat working with the trash.  

We'll need to do the same at Interstate Park, at another time.  

The reason is that Keep Arkansas Beautiful is hosting a Conference July 28-30, hosting folks from across the United States here in Little Rock.  They want to organize a field trip, 50 people +/-, to view the trash booms.  Word has spread across the US about what we're doing with the trash booms here in Little Rock, at Benny Craig Park, https://sites.google.com/view/servicing-fourche-creek/home.  

Also, (KLRB, FoFC, and CAMN) will be organizing special float trips at Interstate Park, paddling up a few miles and floating back, for:
