Obituary for Barbi Yedlick Turner
Barbi Yedlick Turner, 73, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a life beautifully lived. Born in Passaic, New Jersey and raised in North Little Rock, Barbi spent her life caring for others — both in her community and in her home — with deep empathy, fierce love, and unwavering grace.
She is survived by her loving husband, Albert “Bert” Turner; her sister, Karen Deaton (Randy); and her three sons, Max Spriggs III (Ellyn), Bryan Spriggs, and Steele Spriggs (Jennifer). She was especially proud to be "Grandma" to her cherished grandson, Connor Spriggs. She also leaves behind two beloved nieces, Angie Garza (Gabe) and Kelly Deaton, and a great niece and nephew.
Barbi’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a mother to her three sons: Max, Bryan, and Steele. She poured her heart and soul into raising them, always present, always loving, always their biggest cheerleader. To her family, she was everything — the heart of the home, the voice of wisdom, and the arms of comfort.
Barbi was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and an instant friend to all who met her. Her warmth, humor, and kindness made others feel at ease, and her ability to connect with people was a true gift. Her laughter and smile could light up any room — they were magnetic, unforgettable, and filled with love. She gave generously, loved fiercely, and lived fully.
Barbi devoted 45 years to the nursing profession, beginning in 1975. Through nearly five decades of service, she touched countless lives, offering not only healing hands but also a comforting heart. Her patients were never just patients — they were people she cared for deeply. Her legacy of compassion lives on in every life she impacted.
In true Barbi fashion, she held a “Celebration of Life” party in 2023 – with over 100 people gathering to celebrate the joy she brought into the world. It was a true testament to the incredible woman she was — someone who made everyone feel like family and left a lasting imprint on every soul she encountered.
Her spirit, her laughter, and her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was truly the best mom/role model anyone could ever have, and her memory will forever be a light we carry with us.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday July 12, 2025 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at
Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, located at 5800 W 12th St. Little Rock, AR 72204.
