Subject: Active bumblebee nest under kayak at SJCA - take heed! :-)
From: Anne Holcomb

INFORMATION FROM REED GREEN

Reed has discovered that there is an active bumblebee nest in one of the flipped-over sit-in kayaks, the green one up against the fence, out in the back forty at St. Joseph's.  So, if you happen to be out there sometime  to pick up a kayak before the weather turns cold, beware! :-) The bees are not too aggressive, but will give chase when alarmed or in danger. Occasionally will sting, but not often. They bombed Reed, flying into his back, bumping his arms and ball cap, but he never got stung.

Let's hear it for sharing the habitat!
