I wanted to follow up regarding my previous email asking for input regarding Activities and Sponsors listed in ClubExpress for NCAMN. First, thanks so much for all of your feedback. Based on this input and input from the board, several sponsors and activities were made inactive. Most of these were duplicates or no longer used.
There were some changes that I thought it would be helpful for team leaders to be aware of prior to my making the changes in ClubExpress. There were several activities that were thought to be difficult to separate while working at a location. Consequently, the following - Habitat Restoration, Invasive Species Removal, Native Plant Project, Natural Area Maintenance, and Wildlife Rehabilitation will be made inactive and there will be one category of
Natural Habitat Maintenance.
Garden Maintenance will remain as an activity since some gardens were not necessarily natural habitats.
Second, at the board meeting, the idea of a short "on boarding" document for new team leaders was discussed. This would include things such as - creating events, emailing, interest groups, listing activities and sponsors, sign in sheets, information to include in yearly report etc. It may be with the Policy and Procedures, job descriptions, and mentoring this isn't needed. Please let me know if you think this is something that could be helpful to new team leaders and if so what items you would include , e.g., what would have been helpful to you when you started as a team leader.
Finally, I have tried to ensure that all leaders (including co leaders) on this distribution list and have asked AMN that all team leaders, including those who are team leaders, have access to sending emails and creating events. If there are co:leaders for a team, both individuals have been listed as coordinators for that team's interest group and should be able to send emails via the interest group. If you have an issues with this or questions, please let me know.
