Ouachita Trail Work Day

About this event

If you work weekdays, maybe have your Saturdays tied up with NiT training or are otherwise just wanting to get some volunteer hours done before it gets too hot, this might be an opportunity for you.

Several CAMN, FoOT and CAW personnel are planning to work on the eastern section of the Ouachita Trail (north of Lake Maumelle). The primary activity is refreshing trail blazers. Not a strenuous activity except for the hiking. Can be a little messy if the paint gets out of control, so dress accordingly. All the supplies will be provided by CAW.

Current plan is meet at the Ouachita Trail as it crosses Hwy 10, just past the bridge across the west end of Lake Maumelle. There's parking there for a few cars and further up the highway is a service lot and the Vista Point parking lot is south of the bridge. Work will start at March 1, 2026, 9:00 AM.
