Dear OFC Team,
Greetings! As you see from the subject line, we are looking for a new leader for NCAMN's OFC volunteer team. If you're interested, please get in touch with me. If you have questions, please email current leader Donna Brocka (donnak6595@gmail.com) or me.
To explain further, Donna is now working in Jonesboro during the week and commuting home to Mountain View only on weekends. That means, of course, that she hasn't been able to actually work at OFC for quite some time, and her personal time to send emails, etc., is very limited. She can continue for a while, but would like someone to take over for her.
Primarily, the job involves emailing the team once a month to remind them of the three workdays coming up. Then, a day or two before each workday, she emails those who've signed up with a copy to OFC gardener(s) about what work they may have lined up for us. Then they reply to everyone with more details about the work and where to meet that morning. It's not necessary for the team leader to also volunteer on all those days, only to facilitate those who do want to work.
Other tasks include the following:
Once a month, the team leader emails a list of volunteers who worked during that month to the chapter Certification Coordinator for verification purposes.
When possible, the team leader takes photos of volunteers working and sends them with a brief summary to the Ignite newsletter editor. Other volunteers may also send their own photos to the team leader for the newsletter, sometimes with summaries, sometimes not.
At the end of each calendar year, the leader also writes a brief annual report at the end of the calendar year, using the previous year's report as a template.
If you're interested or want to nominate someone who may be, please reply to this message.
Cheers,
Nell Doyle
