Jack McDaniel will introduce key features of the solar system, including scale. We’ll explore the major and minor planets, their moons, asteroids, comets and meteors. Props and volunteers from the audience are used to illustrate the distance and size scales. Weather and cloud cover permitting, outdoor viewing will begin about 8:30 p.m. Club members will bring high quality amateur telescopes for public viewing. Items you may wish to bring include a red light, binoculars, and a lawn chair.
