Calling all master naturalists with gardening experience! An undergrad student was awarded a grant to plant a pollinator garden on the UALR campus on the south side of the Engineering and Information Technology Building. UALR staff referred her to me, and we've been working together, along with the Law School Pollinator Garden team of master naturalists, to get most of the plants in the ground before the semester ends.

Ruth Landers made us aware of the availability of St. Joseph's garden plants, and is giving us around 80 established plants, for free. Unfortunately, we have only a few days to move and plant them, as they must be removed before Thanksgiving. We're looking for volunteers to plant on Tuesday, November 25, and possibly the following Friday and Saturday. We're hoping some of you are available to help create a pollinator garden on the UALR campus.

We'll be picking up the plants beginning at 9 am Tuesday, transporting them to the EIT building site and beginning to plant, probably around 10:30 am. Therefore, we're asking for volunteers to help in two shifts, from 11 to 1 and 1 to 3. You're welcome to work any or all of that time. We ask if you intend to come and volunteer that you notify me, Lynn Foster, lfoster5211@gmail.com, with your contact information and time you intend to work. I'll then send you info about parking and what to bring and expect. If you have questions, contact me.

This project is on public land and so would count as garden maintenance. CAMN is the sponsor. We hope you can help! Thanks so much.
