NCAMN Calico Rock Kids Day Camp Pollinator Class Animals

About this event

This class will explain how butterflies, bees and other insects and animals provide the vital link so flowers can produce fruit and seeds. The students will get information on how insects and other animals provide the vital link in seed production. The students will learn about the life cycle of butterflies and the strange migrations of nearly 500 species of butterflies. The class will have a hands-on experience with Dawn from Baxter County Conservation District and they will either build butterfly puddling stations or pound flowers depending on what is blooming. If we have caterpillars at the garden we will walk down and watch them eat-then we will return to the museum for lunch.
