Dear CAMN members

Having inundated you with messages about the CALS 30XING Park, the least I should do is tell you the result!

I saw Nate Coulter before the meeting and asked if the resolution would pass. He appeared uncertain.

When the meeting started, there were two motions relevant to the resolution. The first motion was to move it to the "consent agenda," and the second was a friendly amendment to change the wording in one sentence. Both motions passed. That meant that there was no discussion of the resolution and it passed along with all the other items on the consent agenda.

I suspect there were some backroom discussions that put the matter to rest.

So, after all the delay and worry, it turned into a nothing-burger.

I'd like to thank the 8 CAMN members whom I saw at the meeting and any others that I didn't see, Anne Holcomb for sending out the messages, and the rest of you who have privately messaged me with your support.

The next time you'll hear about this project is when CALS asks us to help plant natives!

Happy holidays to you all.

Janet
