Dear Friend in Arkansas Watershed Stewardship,
A tree potting event will be taking place Thursday, July 9th from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the Baucum Nursery of the Arkansas Forestry Division which is located at 1402 AR-391, North Little Rock, AR 72117.
The weather will likely be HOT - so dress appropriately, use sunscreen, a hat, and BYOWater so you can stay hydrated.
This workday and others that will follow as they get scheduled is part of BIG project, because the Forestry Division Tree Cooler at Baucum Nursery will be shutting down soon. So there is now a volunteer opportunity to establish a Central AR Tree Project Nursery in its place.
There are about 27,000 plants to get potted, so these plant potting events will become a regular activity over the next month or so at Baucum and Central Arkansas Water.
Thank you all for the work that you do to contribute to the communities and natural environment of Arkansas!
