Arkansas Master Naturalists

Date: 1/20/2026
Subject: Geology and Stuff
From: Jane Foster

Good morning,

Your first Zoom class will be Geology of NWA with Paul Lowery and Chris Moyer. As Ellen Turner pointed out last Saturday - people change the land and the land changes the people.

Below are the recurring links, in brief form, for the Saturday morning and Tuesday evening classes. The complete link information is located in your NiT notebook under Orientation and General Information. We will open the classroom at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the class. Bring your questions and comments and enjoy the chatter.

Also below are the links to registration for the Interpretation class on February 7, to be held at Hobbs State Park and Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. For those of you who missed the first class, your books will be available for pick up before Interpretation class. Your registration will determine where they are sent for pick up. The Interpretation class is an important, useful and a very fun class.

I have also uploaded a short document on how to record your hours for class time, including makeup classes, volunteer time and Continuing Education. Recording your hours gets a little frustrating for everyone, not just NiTs.

As always, if you have questions, email or text me at 479-305-0781. Please give your name and that you are a NiT.

Jane
