Good Morning Chapter Presidents!

I hope you have been able to dig out a bit and see a little bare ground. We are preparing for another shot of cold here for the next couple of days. I have dry wood on the porch to keep our wood stove burning. There are 2 items that I want you to be aware of and am listing those below:
  • Our AMN statewide annual meeting is scheduled for Tuesday evening, February 17, 6:30PM via Zoom. We will be udating/defining state board officers, state budget presentation, and getting a report from each of our chapters on the your 2025 activities and accomplishments. Historically, this report has been presented by the chapter Presidents or their chosen representative. I am asking for a report approximately 4-5 minutes in length and could include activities, recognitions, chapter statistics, pictures, and anything to highlight your achievements as a chapter. Also, if your chapter has identified a Master Naturalist of the Year, an introduction of that person would be wonderful. It would be great if you could put your report in PowerPoint or PDF format to be shared during the Zoom meeting along with your verbal report. I am glad to gather those presentations and share them from my computer to make it easier for you. You can send them to my email address daveleisure@hotmail.com    I will send an zoom invitation to the meeting to the entire membership but please promote meeting attendance within your chapter. We will need a quorum of about 50 persons to attend so that we can officially conduct our business. Let me know if you have any questions. Here is the Zoom link to our state meeting.

  • The website survey that Denise Hilton, our State Web Coordinator, sent out in January has closed. The results are being tabulated, evaluated, and results will be shared with you and your web coordinators once finalized. Hopefully, the information gathered with the survey will assist all our web coordinators in making our website even more accessible and utilized more fully by our membership and the public. Stay tuned!
We are set to have a great 2026 in AMN.....and I am looking forward to working with you in keeping the Natural State natural.

Sincerely,
Dave Leisure, AMN President
