Watch the Sunset over Lake Norfork. Swim in the lake (if you wish), enjoy a cold beverage (BYO), and then watch the stars shine down upon a white sand beach.The waxing gibbous Moon rises at about 9:30 pm and will light your return trip back to your car. Sand Island is an easy kayak paddle from the Jordan Marina and just a little farther from the Hand Cove Landing. This is a dark-sky experience so please use red lights as much as possible -- and switch them off when you possibly can. (But do be safe when walking or paddling. Bright white lights are fine on the open water return.)
