Subject: CAMN: FYI - Job opening at Central Arkansas Water
From: Anne Holcomb

The following is a message from Ben Thesing at Central Arkansas Water which might be of interest to some of you or someone you know.

I wanted to pass along a great opportunity at Central Arkansas Water. We have posted a Water Resources Technician position in the Watershed Protection Department https://carkw.com/careers/ . This position will work mainly on the monitoring and assessments of the Watershed Program and includes fish community, aquatic macroinvertebrate, water quality, algal, vegetation, timber, recreational, and conservation easement monitoring activities. Along with monitoring this position will aid in management activities like prescribed fire, invasive species control, native vegetation efforts, timber stand improvement, education and outreach, and all things watershed related. It’s a heavily field based position with some lab and office work as well.

Ideally the candidate will hold at least a bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, natural resource management, geology, botany, or related field, but anyone meeting the minimum qualifications is encouraged to apply. They’ll be working directly with me and members of the Watershed Protection department in, on, and around the Lakes Maumelle and Winona Watersheds based out of our office in west Pulaski County.

Please feel free to apply and/or please pass this along to anyone you think would be a great fit for our program. Any questions please email or call me. Closing date was set for only a week (closing 2/16/2026), but we’re working to extending the date it to allow for more applicants.

-Ben
