Greetings AMN Members -

My name is John Sommer and I am the Programming Coordinator for BioBlast '26. For those of you who may be new to AMN, BioBlast is our annual, statewide "Member Retreat & Learning Event." This event, held at the beautiful Winthrop Rockefeller Institute on Petit Jean Mountain, is an opportunity to meet new friends and hang out with other like-minded persons in a tranquil environment. Friday evening will just be social time with a buffet dinner. Saturday will be a day of learning with classes during the day and possibly a 'dark sky' event in the evening, weather permitting with three buffet meals and snacks being served. On Sunday, after breakfast and again, weather permitting, we will have a variety of hikes and possibly other events available. BioBlast is a great way to further our knowledge in topics pertinent to what we do as Master Naturalists, earn CE hours, and to have fun doing it. Yes...NiTs ARE WELCOME and encouraged to attend. Registration information will be forthcoming, probably in late May or early June.

As we work to secure presenters for the learning side of things, we wanted to see if there was enough interest in having Theo Witsell & Jennifer Ogle back for a third year in a row to present their Woody Plant Identification class. This all-day class has been a big hit the past two years and so some folks have not been able to get in as it fills up quickly, but we want to be mindful of Jennifer and Theo's time and make sure we have enough interest to warrant the travel and preparation that goes into their workshop..

If you plan to attend BioBlast this year, please click on the link below and complete the one-questions survey indicating whether you would or would not be interested in attending this class. Then, we can make a good decision on this. Thank you!
