In cooperation with other March cleanup events around the state, the Highway 300 Crew will be picking up the CAMN mile on Monday, March 16, beginning at 9 am! We hope you can join us!
We'll meet at the Valero station on Highway 300 about one mile north of Highway 10 (Cantrell). BRING/WEAR: gloves, appropriate footwear (hiking boots are good); your Adopt-A-Highway vest, if you have one; and a grabber.
WE WILL GIVE YOU: a vest, if you don't have one, and bags.
If you are planning on coming, please email Lynn Foster, lfoster5211@gmail.com, so we know in advance how many to expect and can plan more efficiently for who does what. It usually takes about 90 minutes but that depends on how many people there are.
It's a great opportunity to ID plants. Last fall I spotted some marsh elders, Iva annua, a new plant to me, and one that Wikipedia says was cultivated by Native Americans for its edible seed.
See you at 9 am Monday, March 16 at the Valero station!
Thanks -
