Join us Saturday, August 1 at 1pm at the Hobbs State Park Visitor Center!

On Saturday, October 24, the Visitor Center, Outdoor Pavilion, and Ozark Plateau Trail will be ALIVE with the visitors enjoying a LIVING FOREST EVENT.

Perhaps you will offer a Fall nature craft? Keep a campfire glowing for s'mores making? Paint backdrops to add dimension for photo ops and dramatic scenes? Fashion props and/or costumes for Wizard of Hobbs #2 trail performances? Help Hobbs staff manage parking and greet visitors? Rekindle your "inner thespian spirit" and take on a character role, helping to teach the public about forest succession that follows storm events? Needless to say...there is something for EVERY NWAMN member, and fun and friendship is guaranteed!

 

It's time to get your next title for the NWAMN Book Club: Ten Birds That Changed the World by Stephen Moss. Read it in the coming weeks, then meet with us at 6-8pm on Thursday, August 20 at the Shiloh Museum Store in Springdale for a spirited discussion. Plus, attendance earns two hours of continuing education credit!

 

 

 

Learn about native plants by volunteering at Compton Gardens in Bentonville! Come help with garden or greenhouse work. The following opportunities are available:

Thursday, July 30 - 9 - 11 am

Thursday, August 27 - 9 - 11 am
