CAMN - Dunbar Pollinator Garden
About this event
End of Summer Cleanup and Prep for Fall Planting
The site has been a bit dormant with the intense heat so this event is to clean things up and get ready for a Fall planting.
We installed irrigation for the elderberries, pawpaws, and yaupon (all but one have survived so far) and will do an overview of that system plus lessons learned (one hour of continuing ed embedded in the project work).
We need to clear out some debris from a nearby area, finish cardboard / mulch, clear some vines. If there's time and we're ready, we'll discuss the plant list and plan for Fall planting (and possibly the Rain Garden). We did a shade map of the area on the Solstice - those maps will be onsite if you'd like to look at them.
Maggi is out there every Mon / Wed so if you'd like to go out another time, let her know - you can help with the pollinator garden or the larger community garden (all hours count). The Dunbar Garden Manager is onsite Tues to Saturday from about 7am - noon (farmers market on Saturdays).
