NCAMN Trail Patrol
Volunteers clear and beautify 60 miles of local hiking trails in Baxter, Marion, and Stone Counties annually. The team also occasionally designs and constructs new trails and reroutes.
Trail workers meet two to four times a month from autumn to spring, performing trail maintenance for state parks, lakeside U. S. Army Corps of Engineers trails, the Buffalo River Trail, U. S. Forest Service trails and Ozark Highlands Trail.
Workers use manual or power tools based on personal preference, stamina and training, clearing trails of encroaching branches, fallen trees, weed patches and leaves. For more information, please click this link to download our annual report: 2023 NCAMN Trail Patrol Annual Report.
