Welcome to Diamond Lakes!

Welcome to Diamond Lakes Arkansas Master Naturalists (DLAMN) Chapter.  We serve Clark, Garland, Hot Springs, Montgomery, Pike, Polk and part of Saline County.

DLAMN members volunteer on a variety of projects including trail building and maintenance, pollinator habitat and education, natural area preservation, invasive species removal, stream monitoring, litter removal, plant and tree identification, wildflowers, and studies of all things natural in the Ouachita mountains region of Arkansas. Our chapter partners with several agencies in support of our projects, including Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Hot Springs National Park.  We have adopted areas in support of our projects and regularly attend work parties to support agency goals.  Our adopted areas include:

Lake Ouachita Vista Trail
Middle Fork Barrens Natural Area
Hot Springs Greenway Butterfly Garden
Terre Noire Natural Area
Stream Team - Middle Fork Saline River

The Arkansas Master Naturalist program is a structured 40-hour curriculum of classroom and outdoor training opportunities.  Those attending the program are designated Naturalist in Training (NIT) and once you have completed the 40 hours you will become a Certified Arkansas Master Naturalist.  Once certified, you will need to complete 40 hours of volunteer work and 8 hours of advanced training during the calendar year to maintain your "Certified" status.  Don't worry, it's easy and fun. Typically, NIT training starts mid-January and runs through mid-June.  Classes and/or Zoom meetings are scheduled for Saturdays with a few weeks off to allow for volunteer opportunities.

Please follow the links for the DLAMN 2021 NIT Training Schedule and use either application to sign up below:
