Dogwood Trail, is a 1.7 mile linear trail (3.5 miles RT) through woods, culminating in picturesque rock cliffs jutting above Bull Shoals Lake. Trail is moderate difficulty, some short uphill stretches.
Location: Trailhead is in Lakeview Park, near Lakeview Marina. Directions: from Mountain Home drive west on Highway 178 to Lakeview, turn right on Boat Dock Road by Big Red’s Tackle Shop toward the lake, drive ½ mile into campground, make two right turns into the campground areas. Trailhead is uphill in campground C. GPS N36 22'23", W92 32'54", or 36.373030 -92.548330.
Alternate location, shortcut trail to the point. Turn on Glen Cove Drive towards the lake, drive three blocks, turn left on Glen Cove Place, park just past the last houses on this residential street. A trail leads from the last house, through the woods, and connects to Dogwood Trail ½ mile from the point.
