We'll groom 3½ miles of Davids Trail, between Rocking Chair Resort and the Highway 62 bridge at Panther Bay. The organizers of the Davids Trail Endurance Run asked us to groom this section for the January 17-18 races.
We’ll use backpack blowers, loppers and clippers. Kick loose stones off trail.
Rendezvous 9am at Robinson Point Park, trailhead by the park entrance. We’ll shuttle you to Rocking Chair Road, and work north as a group up the trail to Panther Bay and a waiting shuttle under the bridge approx. noon.
The restroom is open at Panther Bay (north side), but not at Robinson Point. This is the first of two Davids Trail sessions. Further grooming is needed at Panther Bay and Robinson Point.
You have my number 8…736 0505.
What to bring? Work gloves, also a buff to cover your mouth/nose if the leaf blowing is dusty. We could also use an extra backpack blower if you have one.
