Trail Patrol Buffalo River

Trail Maintenance on Buffalo River Trail, National Park Service asked NCAMN to clear 6 miles to groom trail prior to Buffalo River Biathlon. The BRT is challenging and beautiful. We will clear only one section this year, Dillards Ferry to Spring Creek Road, 6 miles linear. NPS will shuttle us to the middle of the trail in a van, in order to reduce walking distance.
Bring a sack lunch and plenty of water as we will work from 9AM to 2 or 3 PM and have lunch on the trail.
Rendezvous at Dillards Ferry, park at the expansive parking area under the Highway 14 Bridge at the Buffalo River. From Yellville, drive 17 miles 22 minutes south on Highway 14, cross the bridge, you can turn either left or right to enter the parking field. There is a toilet near the boat launch.
Invite a friend. Bring work gloves, loppers, clippers, or use our power tools. Record your hours Trail Maint/Building, sponsor National Park Service. For information, call Roy at 8xx736-0505. Cell phone reception unreliable on trail and rendezvous point.
