Introduction to Leave No Trace 1:00 pm on Zoom

Learn about the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace and how they provide a framework of minimum impact practices for anyone visiting the outdoors. Although Leave No Trace has its roots in backcountry settings, the Principles have been adapted so that they can be applied anywhere — from remote wilderness areas, to local parks and even in your own backyard. They also apply to almost every recreational activity.

Meet Chanel – AGFC Education Specialist
Chanel Pennington is a native to Fayetteville, AR, and spent most of her youth on the family farm in Madison County where her love and appreciation for nature began. When she was not busy helping her father and grandpa with the cattle, you would find her exploring the woods or fishing the War Eagle River. Her infatuation with the outdoors at a young age led her to pursue a degree in Outdoor Recreation Leadership from the University of Arkansas. There she also served as an outdoor guide, leading backcountry trips throughout the state and country. She is a Master Educator for Leave No Trace and enjoys teaching others how they minimize their impact on our natural resources.
