Curious Connections: Native Plants and Pollinators with ANHC Leslie Patrick

Provide a basic understanding of flower anatomy and the biology of pollination
Define key terms including pollen, nectar, nectaries, nectar guides, pollinia (pollinia are so cool!)
Examine flower characteristics, such as shape, color, scent, timing of blooms, and floral arrangement, as they relate to pollinators
Look at some common native plant hosts for butterflies and moths
Discuss the importance of wildlife corridors and how we can all participate in creating corridorsProvide a basic understanding of flower anatomy and the biology of pollination
