Art of Nature PLT Nature Journaling Workshop

Getting kids outside is essential these days and nature journaling is a great way to get and keep kids engaged. Nature journaling supports lessons in both literacy and science.
Observation, writing, sketching, data collection, sequencing, and reflection are a few of the many useful skills students may use while journaling. This workshop will demonstrate the use of Project Learning Tree activities to improve and enhance nature journaling skills. This will be an interactive workshop conducted both indoors and outdoors and include activities, hands-on crafts, and lesson plans.
Join us for this fun and educational day and learn how to implement nature journaling into your own classroom, camps, and educational programs.
Please bring a sack lunch or Mather Lodge Restaurant will be open as well.

Participants must stay for the full training in order to receive the curriculum guide. No partial credit will be given. Space is limited.

Fee $15 - Participants will receive both the newly revised PLT Explore Your Environment K-8 Guide and the Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood Guide in addition to a copy of Keeping A Nature Journal by Clare Walker Leslie & Charles E. Roth. (an $85 value)
