We will gather again at the South Fork Nature Center to have our Chapter year-end meeting. We will hear from the nominating committee about their recommendation for next year’s Board members and see if anyone else wants to throw their hats in the ring for nominations. We then have a formal vote to elect our board members. We also will have our treasurer hand out our year-end financial report, Certification Pins, membership badges, and other master naturalist paraphernalia (including ordered shirts, hats, etc.). We will make time for our new members (Nits who graduated) to be introduced to the group and for those who want to tell about their sit spot exercise! And finally we will hand out an award or two or three to some very deserving members for their work this year. <br /><br />We will have a light clean-up day for the cabin at South Fork and for the grounds if it is not too hot. So bring your bug spray, boots and clippers for cutting some of the invasive plant species. Like last weekend, we will be following the current CDC guidelines and not have a pot luck this year. So bring your own lunch, drinks, and snacks. We will be providing some ice and water. And since we will be outdoors, those who are fully vaccinated need not wear a mask but we would appreciate it if those who are not yet vaccinated would do so.
