FAMN - Bell Slough WMA Workday

Where: Kenny Vernon Trails at Bell Slough We&#39;ll meet at 9:00 am at the shale pit. Go about 100 yards past the turn off for the parking lot; turn left at the first dirt road and go through the gate. <br />What: Any or all of the following;<br />Tree ID: <br />Find trees for the newly painted stones Bring Arkansas Tree ID books<br />Identify more trees that need ID stones <br />Parking Lot Benches:<br />Install new bench seats Like so many other things, the lumber has been back-ordered; we&#39;ll do this project later.<br />Arbor:Replace 1 board and sand bench seats in the Arbor. We&#39;ll do this when we do the parking lot benches. <br />Install new staples on metal panels in Arbor A ladder and a couple of hammers will be supplied<br />Begin ground prep for new plants Bring a digging tool. Since it hasn&#39;t rained much in several weeks, we will postpone this if the ground is too hard. <br />Chinquapins:<br />Admire and water the Chinquapins<br />Clean up bushy growth on ground around the Chinquapins<br />Trails:<br />Leaf blow as needed One battery as well as a gas leaf blower will be available<br />Weedeat as needed One battery and one gas weedeater will be available<br /><br />Don&#39;t Forget to bring your own water, snacks and bug spray<br /> Contact information for the project coordinators:<br /> Fred Hendricks: fred@drpatbradley.com 501.908.1571<br /> Pat Bradley: pat@drpatbradley.com 501.358.8855
