PMSP Interpretive Training

The new school is in full swing and schools are scheduling field trips to the park. When large schools come to the park, the 2 interpreters often need help managing the groups. That's when they call CAMN!

The most common practice is to divide a large group into smaller groups and rotate the groups through 3 or 4 activities. For example, if 75 3rd graders come, they would be divided into 3 groups of ~25, and each group would rotate through a mammal program, a reptile program, and an interpretive hike on the Kingfisher Trail. With only 2 park interpreters on staff, they need help!

Many of you are old hands at this, and some others of you have had a glimpse at what this looks like, but for those you who would LOVE to help, but don't feel confident, the Interpreters (Matthew and Sam) and I have created a Train the Interpreter event, where we will provide hands-on training to give you all the tools you need to feel confident to do a program on your own. You'll be introduced to the mammal program, the reptile program and the Kingfisher Hike.

If you plan to attend, PLEASE register so that we can plan accordingly.
Record time for the training event as CE, sponsor Pinnacle Mountain State Park.
